Privacy Policy

My Swing Thoughts (“the app”) is operated by [legal entity name, country]. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, used to create and sign in to your account (we use passwordless magic-link sign-in). A unique user ID and device identifier are created to operate your account.

Your content. Swing thoughts, practice and round notes, session logs, and your conversations with the AI coach. This content is stored on your device and synced to our servers so it’s available across sessions and powers your coach’s memory.

Voice recordings. When you record a voice thought, audio is captured on your device and transcribed using Apple’s speech recognition service. Recordings are used to produce your transcript and are not retained on our servers as audio. Apple’s processing is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to collect usage events — such as which features are used and how often — to improve the app. Analytics are not sold or used for third-party advertising.

Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymized app user ID. We never see your payment card details.

How we use your data

• To provide the core service: storing and syncing your golf thoughts and sessions, and generating personalized AI coaching responses. Content you submit is sent securely to our AI provider [name them — e.g. Anthropic/OpenAI] to generate responses; it is not used to train their models [verify this matches your provider agreement].
• To operate your subscription and account.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who processes your data

Supabase (authentication and database), [your hosting provider for the golf.studio backend], [AI provider], RevenueCat (subscriptions), PostHog (analytics, EU), Apple (speech recognition, payments).

Retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account, which permanently deletes your account and content from our servers. You can also delete all local data from Settings without closing your account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Deletion is available in-app; for access or export requests, contact us at privacy@myswingthoughts.app and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

My Swing Thoughts is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We’ll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
